GENERAL RULES:

AKC or AKC Gazette-Awards documentation will be accepted for verification of awards. The following awards will be automatic: Top Neapolitan Breed Points, Top Neapolitan Group Points, Top Stud Dog, Top Brood Bitch, Top Breeder, Top Junior Handler, Top Neapolitan Novice Obedience, Top Neapolitan Open Obedience, Top Neapolitan Utility Obedience, Top Neapolitan Rally Novice Obedience, Top Neapolitan Advanced Rally Obedience, Top Neapolitan Excellent Rally Obedience, Top Neapolitan Novice Agility, Top Neapolitan Open Agility, and Top Neapolitan Excellent Agility. For all other awards, the owner, co-owner or breeder must make application to the Awards Committee by January 31, 2008.

The following awards shall not have any specific time frame, and may be given to Neapolitans living or dead: Hall of Fame, Register of Merit, Honor Roll, Venerable Neapolitan, Best In Show, High in Trial, and Versatility. The same applies to members qualifying for Register of Merit Breeder and Long Standing Member. The dog's AKC registered name and number, the registered names and numbers of offspring (when applicable), and the publication date of the award in the AKC Gazette-Awards must be sent to the Awards Chairman. Copies of the AKC Certificates confirming any titles or copies of the AKC Gazette-Awards page publishing any titles must accompany all requests for awards. The owner, co-owner or breeder must request any duplicate awards. In addition, the Breeder's Certificate has been standardized to match the new Awards Certificates. Members are asked to use the attached Awards Form when Applying, and to ensure that all names that are to appear on the award are correctly spelled. Duplication due to unnecessary errors is costly and time consuming. The AKC offers a Certified List of Awards service. There is a single cost for the report regardless of how many certificates it takes to confirm all your dog's wins, placements, and qualifying scores. This service is only available through certain years. For further information, contact:
